MAJOR FIRE IN UPUD DISTRICT – PLEASE HELP TO CONSERVE WATER
Union Public Utility District (UPUD)
Last updated: 09/2/25 4:00PM
Dear UPUD Residents,
As many of you are aware, there is currently a major fire burning within our district, and emergency crews are actively working to contain it. In light of this, we are encouraging everyone to conserve water where possible to help support firefighting efforts.
We ask that residents voluntarily reduce non-essential water use, especially during this active emergency. Doing so can help maintain water pressure and ensure that adequate supply is available for fire response teams.
If you're able, please consider:
✅ Turning off lawn and garden sprinklers
✅ Delaying outdoor water use (like car washing or filling pools)
✅ Being mindful of indoor water use
Every bit helps, and your cooperation can make a meaningful difference during this critical time.
Most importantly, we hope everyone remains safe. Our thoughts are with all those affected and with the firefighters and emergency responders working around the clock to protect our community.
Thank you for your support and understanding.
— UPUD
